Last wednesday, the co-founder of deviantART Inc and their main community development staff member, °jark, was sacked - fired - terminated - pink slipped.
We dont know exactly what happened or who did it, however we do know this: 1. °jark was forcibly removed from staff. 2. Following that, `bookdiva, °jark's mother, posted a journal entry which was then censored by an unknown administrator. [She has a backup. ] 3. A series of comments was also forcibly removed. This seems in violation of FAQ #160: Can I remove or delete comments on my userpage, journal or deviations? which states that comments are never removed; except when in violation of policy. These comments were clearly not. Overall, there is a secret cabal of administrators or a very very 1337 h4x0r behind all of this. I recommend for people wanting news about °jark, that you pay attention to Jarkolicious and Jark's Flickr account. This is my last and only deviation publically viewable until either Jark is reinstated or we get some hard facts about this. I hereby give everyone permission to archive this or otherwize redistribute it irregardless of attribution. Disregard that, I suck cocks. |
